Space Needle to be Used for Bing Launch on Tuesday Night

A substantial chunk of Microsoft’s Bing promotional budget will be on brandish Tuesday evening at the Seattle Center. For its worldwide launch of Bing, the new “decision engine,” Microsoft will be taking over the city’s large-scale futuristic symbol: the Space Needle.

The lightweight display begins at 10 p.m.

* The beam of lightweight that rarely blasts up from the peak of the Needle - the Legacy Light - will be lit up orange.
* A Bing flag will be soaring from the Space Needle’s antenna.
* Spotlights galore will be at the groundwork of the Needle.

Co-opting the Space Needle for business events has been finished before, by Starbucks and Clearwire, for instance. But it pledges to be a good show.
